We accept credits from more than 2,300 institutions. Use our online Transfer Simulation Tool to see transfer equivalencies and how you can transfer credits into one of our approximately 200 undergraduate programs.

If you're in one of the following student groups, with our Enhanced Transfer Credit Pathways, you can enter CMU with all your University Program requirements completed, including the six credits of your writing intensive requirement.
- Students who have completed the Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA or the older MACRAO) at their community college or the requirements of a statewide transfer agreement similar to the MTA
- Students who have earned an Associate of Arts, Associate of Science or an associate degree with an applied concentration that is germane to a CMU program

Send your official transcripts from each previous college you attended to
You can send unofficial transcripts and still be admitted to CMU. However, you’ll need to submit official transcripts to be awarded scholarships and in order to get your transfer credits
If you have earned fewer than 24 college credits, you also must submit your high school transcripts.
